| With
the advances in the Implant Dentistry technology, it now
possible to have your Implants surgically inserted in
the morning and have your fixed teeth attached by tea
time.
Most Patients initially think that this could be a
painful procedure, but with the advances in dental
anaesthesia and intavnous sedation, we can provide the
treatment with minimum pain and discomfort. Most
patients who under go the procedure, are surprised how
little discomfort they suffer during, after the
procedure.
We now routinely obtain 98% success rate with the
procedure over 7 year period. It is possible to say that
these teeth can last up to 35 years in those patients
who can maintain good oral hygiene.

is involved |

| I
am sure that many of you have heard of implants if you
haven't then they are made from titanium and fabricated
to mimic the shape of our natural roots.
A minor surgical procedure is required to inset the
artificial roots in the jaw bone. If these are
stabilized and let to heal over a period of 4 to 6
months , then they will integrate with your jaw bone.
One has to maintain a soft diet for the first 8 weeks,
and then gradually introduce normal foods and with in 4
months. Most patients can chew hard foods and bite into
an apple with in six months.

does it work |

| This
is a technique that was developed in Sweden, and has now
been scccessfully used by us at Center for Cosmetic and
Reconstructive Dentistry
Now instead of the implants being placed and left in
the jaw for six months to heal, these implant can be
placed in the morning and a set of fixed teeth can be
made and attached on these implants on the same day.
The patient would arrive in the moring and have the
implants placed. Then by tea time a set of teeth would
be costom fabticated and fixed to the implants by tea
time!
